Roger "Smooth" Cage is a wrestler from California who is best known for his work with NYCW. Debuting in 2004, he was originally known as "The Ladies' Man" Roger Dodger and worked a slick prima donna gimmick. Despite the great character, Roger failed to rise above midcard status. In 2008, with his momentum having stalled completely as a heel, he was reinvented as the epitome of Hollywood style, Roger Cage (his real name). Working as a babyface for the first time, and with Cheerleader Nicki as his manager to really get the crowd on his side, he finally started to make some serious headway toward becoming a real star, and capped it all by winning the NYCW Empire title in November 2011. He is now one of NYCW's biggest stars.
